President Buhari’s Chief Of Staff, Kyari Tests COVID-19 Positive

Breaking news in Nigeria has it that one of the most powerful men in Nigeria’s current administration and Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari, Abba Kyari, has tested positive for Coronavirus aka COVID-19.

He was said to have possibly contracted the virus during a visit to Germany and Egypt for a meeting on the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC), whose executive chairman, Prof. James Momoh, was also part of. Kyari attended many meetings after his return from the trips last week.

The Chief of Staff was also reported to have started coughing during a meeting on Sunday at the Aso Rock Villa, fueling speculation he could have the virus. His test result, which came in on Tuesday morning, confirmed him positive to the dreaded disease, which is ravaging the whole world.

With this development, speculations were ripe that President Buhari, who is very, very close to the Kyari may also have contacted the disease. But the President had a test, which showed he is COVID-19 negative.
