Reports reaching our newsroom have it that armed robbers have shot dead an official of NECO, Vincent Odinko in his apartment in the staff quarters of the University of Ibadan, in Oyo State.
The incident reportedly happened last Friday night November 4, 2022. According to ExamFurther.com the armed robbers arrived at the apartment of the deceased and met him working late in the night on his laptop.
The hoodlums allegedly shot the victim, whose wife is said to be an employee of the University of Ibadan. He died instantly and the robbers subsequently made away with his laptop. Oyo State command of the Nigeria police has commenced an investigation into the crime.
The spokesperson of the command, Adewale Osifeso, told the news platform manhunt had been launched for the killers. He said, “Investigation is currently in progress. Updates would be provided accordingly,” he said.
