The Chairman of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Mahmood Yakubu on Sunday declared the National Collation Centre open in Abuja. He also set the ground rules for the proceedings.
INEC Chairman has however appealed to political parties and the media to draw their figures only from the figures released by INEC as the only body. There are different results from different polling units flying around on social media. Having declared the centre open and considering the fact that some polling units across the country where elections were scheduled to hold on Sunday were yet to conclude, just as polling materials as well as INEC officials were yet to arrive even as at 3pm., Prof Mahmood said the collation will kickstart at 6:00p.m. on Sunday.
