The agents of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and agents of some other political parties on Monday walked out of the national collation center Abuja following the refusal of the national chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Prof Mahmood Yakubu to stop the ongoing process of collation of results of the presidential election held on 25/02/2023.
Earlier the agents of the political parties had argued that the failure of the commission to transmit results electronically as provided for in the electoral acts had undermined the electoral process. The agents stressed that the INEC should not proceed with the collection of the results. Until the results are transmitted according to the provisions of the law.
