A driver of a Sienna car with number plate EKY10B, Lagos, who was identified as Friday Nwokpor, at the weekend lost his life in an auto crash that occurred on Ogbogbo Ishieke bridge, in the Ebonyi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.
Uche Okeagu, a commercial motorcyclist who witnessed the incident, told Newsbits that late Nwokpor met his sudden death on Saturday night, enroute Ezza North Local Government Area of the state from Nwori, a suburb of Ishieke.
Mr Okeagu said the deceased was driving on a high speed and lost control of his car on the wooden bridge, and his car sumasulted by the Ogbogbo river side, leading to his instant death while his younger brother, Chinedu, who was also in the same car, sustained severe injuries.
At the time this report, the injured, Chinedu Nwokpor was still receiving medical attention at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, while the remains of his late brother, Friday had been deposited at the hospital’s mortuary.
