NEMA Receives 113 Nigerians Repatriated From Niger Republic

The National Emergency Management Agency said it has received another batch of Nigerians stranded in the Niger Republic into the country on Monday, 30 October.

In a press statement by the Lagos Territorial Office coordinator of NEMA, Ibrahim Farinloye, The Punch gathered that the returnees were flown into the country by the International Organisation for Migration in a voluntary capacity and landed at the Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos State, at about 2 pm on a Sky Mali chartered flight.

The statement partly reads, “The Returnees who were assisted back to the country in a voluntary capacity by the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) landed at about 1415 hours. “The chartered flight Sky Mali with registration number TZ-SMA Boeing 737-500 had 15 adult females including 2 with medical cases and 76 adult males, 7 female children, 15 male children, and 1 female infant respectively aboard the aircraft agencies.”
