The Appeal Court sitting in Lagos has upheld the elections of Ifeanyi Ubah and Victor Umeh as the senators representing Anambra South and Central, respectively.
In the case of Ubah, the appellate court dismissed the appeals filed by Hon Chris Azubogu, Chief Chris Uba and Dr Obinna Uzo against the victory of the the Young Progressives Party (now in All Progressives Congress). The Appeal Court said their appeals are incompetent and lacking in merit.
Similarly, the Appeal Court dismissed the Appeal by Hon. Dozie Nwankwo of All Progressives Grand Alliance against the Judgement of the Election Petition Tribunal that upheld the victory of Senator Victor Umeh of Labour Party.
