An Enugu State High Court 6, presided over by Justice Ngozi Oji on Wednesday, threatened to revoke a bail bond granted to the Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Dr. Ngozi Unaogu if she fails to appear in court on the 27th of March, 2025.

NewsBits recalls  that the court had two weeks ago, committed the  Acting Chief Medical Director of the Federal Neuropsychiatric Hospital, Enugu, Dr. Ngozi Unaogu, and Head of Clinical Services, Dr. Vincent Ubochi to prison over contempt proceedings initiated by Afam Ndu, principal of the School of Basic Mental Health Nursing at the institution.

At the resumed hearing on Wednesday, Justice Ngozi Oji who was visibly angry over the absence of the MD, Mrs. Unaogu in court, warned that she will no longer tolerate such an attitude.

Council representing the first applicant in a post judgement proceeding told the court that his client, Mrs. Unaogu was down in sickness and hospitalized in Abuja. He tendered a letter from the hospital to that effect.

But reacting, council to the respondent objected to the application saying that it was just a subtle way of buying time and urged the court to discountenance the application as it was seen as being frevolous.

Justice Ngozi Oji however warned that if on the next adjourned date which is on the 27th of March, 2025 and the first applicant, Dr. Ngozi Unaogu is not in court, she would revoke the bail bond granted to her.
