As the federal government of Nigeria and the military hierarchy continue to pay lip service to issues of the indescribable insecurity situation across the country, gunmen, on Sunday, abducted several Christian worshippers during a church service in Kebbi State.
NewsBits learnt that the incident occurred in Zagami village in Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The attackers are suspected to be members of the notorious Lakurawa gang.
They arrived on motorcycles, invaded the church during morning worship, and shot sporadically. Several members of the congregation were whisked away into the forest. The police in Kebbi State are yet to issue any statement on the attack.
