A mother of three, Chinwedu Nnadozie has been beaten to death by her husband, Esosa Imasuen. The suspect committed the act in the Ogbelaka area of the Sakponba Road axis of Benin, the Edo State capital.
Although residents could not provide reasons yet for the man’s actions, he was reported to have pounced on the wife, inflicting multiple injuries on her following a misunderstanding between them. However, the woman gave up the ghost in the hospital owing to internal bleeding.
Father of the deceased Everistus Nnadoze said he was called that his son-in-law, Esosa Imasuen had beaten her daughter and left her with serious injuries. “They said he took her to the hospital where a doctor was said to have carried out some tests on her, and the result showed that she has internal bleeding”, Daily Post quoted him as saying.
“They said Imasuen took her corpse to an undisclosed mortuary alone. I went to his house, they said he had absconded,” the victim’s father lamented. The Edo State Police Command said they were yet to receive a report on the incident.
