The National Youth Council of Nigeria, Ebonyi State Chapter have called for a diligent investigation on the gruesome murder of an Ebonyi Youth, one Master Fabian Ugo of Ndioke Nduebor Okpuitumo who was allegedly murdered by the operatives of operation Udo Ga Achi in Anambra State.
The call was contained in a statement by the Director Media and Publicity of the organization Comrade Stephen Maduabuchi Nkoka and made available to journalists. He maintained that a diligent investigation and review must be carried on the operations of the security outfit, Udo Ga Achi in Anambra State and their dealings with youths of Ebonyi State particularly be reviewed.
“We demand for justice for the murdered youth. Our organization will not continue to fold it’s hands while youths of Ebonyi State are gruesomely murdered by the operative in Anambra State.
“As the Supreme Council of Nigeria Youths (NYCN), we condemned in it’s entirety this horrific and barbaric act and therefore demand that an arrest and due public prosecution of the personnel(s) involved in the act be carried out with immediate effect.
“That an adequate burial rite and condolences to the bereaved family and our state at large be accorded the needed respect. The group also said that they are making a public outcry to avert any revolt by youths of Ebonyi State. We are calling on the aggrieved Youths never to resort in self-defence, believing that the authorities in charge will do the needful.
