Former Senate President, Senator David Mark has taken over as the Interim National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress, ADC.

Mark assumed office on Wednesday at the unveiling of the ADC as the official platform for the opposition coalition in Abuja. Before he took over, the now immediate National Chairman of the ADC, Mr Raph Nwosu, announced that the entire ADC leadership at all levels had resigned.

These were confirmed in a post by a prominent member of the coalition and former Kaduna governor, Nasir El-Rufai. He said that with the development, urban and rural banditry would be extinguished.

He tweeted: “NIGERIA UPDATE Now: – The entire ADC leadership at all levels has resigned, to provide a platform for the coalition to rescue Nigeria. – Ralph O Nwosu.”
