The member representing Ahiazu and Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency in Nigeria’s House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Emeka Chinedu said he has supported the construction of an Ultra-Modern Diagnostic Centre in Mbaise, Imo State, with a N50 million, and $1,000-donations as part of his contributions.

Hon. Chinedu, who was elected to the Lower Chamber of the National Assembly on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), promised to ensure the N50 million pledge for the construction of the Diagnostic Centre would be captured in the 2026 national budget.

The Lawmaker, who was the Special Guest of Honour, disclosed the 2025 Mbaise Europe Convention held in Málaga, Spain, where the building of the Ultra-Modern Diagnostic Centre idea was initiated.

While demonstrating his commitment to the progress of Mbaise nation, the politician also expressed optimism that such a facility would make healthcare easily accessible to all Mbaise people. He reaffirmed his resolve to serve as a bridge between home and diaspora.

Chinedu, who is the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), further said that the Malaga Convention would be remembered “not only for its cultural splendour, but also for the commitments that chart a new course for Mbaise.”

NewsBits gathered that the Lawmaker was celebrated at the Málaga Convention “not only by his constituents, but the entire Mbaise people in Europe” for making them to feel the positive impact of their representation in the House of Representatives.

Recall that Rt. Hon. Chinedu, during his first term in office, sited tangible projects in all the twenty-four wards in Ahiazu and Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency.

NewsBits learnt that since being voted for the second term, and progressing gradually as a high-ranking member, Chinedu has reportedly used his position to “attract more projects, secured jobs for many of our youths in key federal government offices and empowered numerous people in his constituency,” his Media Aide, Nnamdi Ukasanya said in a statement.

According to Ukasanya, “The recent highlight of it all was the empowerment of Oboama and Umunama people in Ezinihitte Mbaise with the cash of N200,000, POS machine, umbrella, chair and table to each of the 100 beneficiaries to start up their own businesses.”

NewsBits had in the past reported that the empowerment programme, which pulled a huge crowd, was held on Thursday, 14 August 2025, at the Queen of Peace Catholic Church Oboama Ezinihitte Mbaise, precisely in the open field of Central School, Oboama.

Ukasanya said: “With his position now as the Deputy Chairman, House Committee on the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Ahiazu and Ezinihitte Mbaise Federal Constituency stands to gain more as they continue to support him to ascend to higher positions in the House of Representatives.”
