RENO OMOKRI—A Notorious Blackmailer And Political Conman Lacks The Moral Credibility To Question Senator Ted Cruz’s Position On Genocide In Nigeria

At exactly 3:24 am Philippines time on October 14, 2025, my elder brother called from Lagos, and before I could struggle from my bed to pick up the call, it stopped. I then returned the call at exactly 3:29 am and what he sarcastically told me was that Mr. Reno Omokri invited two Americans to counter Senator Ted Cruz and deny the ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria on Arise Television. I said, Okay, brother, no problem, I will listen to what he said later in the day.

It has not been my intention to waste my jealously guarded time to drop the least quantity of ink from my pen on Reno Omokri, a man I consider a mental patient with a spontaneous genre of mental illness, but for the reason of his recent display of cataclysmic coded lies of self-destruct.

Although every individual is very prominent in his or her right within defined socio-political, economic, and religious spectra of the society, it is, however, an insult of the highest to Nigerians for Reno Omokri to lie to Nigerians by describing Mike Arnold and Jeff Gibbs as two prominent Americans on a fact-finding mission to overturn the fact of ongoing genocide against Christians in Nigeria.

First, there is Blanco County Council in the State of Texas, United States, with a population of over 12,000 people and the administrative Headquarters located at J101 East Cypress Street, Johnson City, TX 78636, and website https://www.co.blanco.tx.us/. Reno Omokri’s Mike Arnold is not the Mayor of this Blanco County. The current Mayor of Blanco County is Candy Cargill.

Second, there is Blanco town, often referred to as a city located in the rural Texas Hill axis of Blanco County with a population of 1,780 people according to 2021 population statistics. There is no elected Mayor of Blanco town, but there is a volunteer mayor named Mike Arnold, who is a freelance Christian missionary. That’s the man Reno Omokri imported to Nigeria as a prominent American to debunk the fact of Genocide against Christians.

Indeed, the New York Times issue of Sunday, October 12, 2025 https://static01.nyt.com/images/2025/10/12/nytfrontpage/scan.pdf, in an article written by Eli Saslow described Mike Arnold as the “Volunteer Mayor of tiny Blanco, Texas”, thereby making mockery of Reno Omokri’s over-bloated ego of importing a United States Major to Nigeria.

Just think of this. A County statutorily stands for a Local Government Area in Nigeria. This means that Mike Arnold was not even qualified to be a Local Government Council Chairman in Nigeria. As a volunteer mayor of a town in a County, Mike Arnold is therefore like a volunteer President General of a typical Southeast Igbo town.

On the other hand, Jeff Gibbs is a local film producer or filmmaker, whichever one chooses to refer to him; a status not better and higher than the normal Nollywood film producer here in Nigeria. Does Reno Omokri think he could intimidate or confuse Nigerians with local American village filmmaker, just because of the name “America?”

Are these the sort of American prominent personalities Reno Omokri imported to Nigeria to engage in fact-finding mission on Genocide against Nigerian Christians with the aim of debunking a whole Senator of the United States of America, Ted Cruz? Nigerians should therefore see how unintelligent a liar and morally debased Reno Omokri could be as an unrepentant, roguish political conman.

These are the so-called two prominent American personalities in whose names Remo Omokri collected millions of naira from the Sultan of Sokoto and his Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) to bring from the United States to counter Senator Ted Cruz. Reno Omokri told us that these two men met “with the leaders of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) and the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), as well as visited IDP camps to see the reality of Genocide against Nigerian Christians for themselves.”

So, Reno Omokri is telling Nigerians that the view of the President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), the spiritually bankrupt Archbishop Daniel Okoh and, that of the heinous culprits of the same Genocide, Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI) are credible evidence that Genocide against Christians does not exist in Nigeria.

All what the current President of Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Archbishop Daniel Okoh knows is to sit with the Sultan of Sokoto as co-chairman of the Nigerian Interfaith Action Association (NIFAA) and discuss how to share the billions of naira flowing to them from the Federal Government on the altar of thousands of Christians kidnapped and slaughtered on daily basis with the lucky ones made to pay unimaginable sums as ransoms and, some having their ancestral lands forcefully appropriated with impunity the Muslim murderers.

So, what impact has such meeting between two American political midgets and two patrons of the perpetrators of Genocide against Christians on the veracity of the evidence that there is on-going genocide against Christians in Nigeria? If one may ask, under what official capacity did these two American political Lilliputs conduct their so-called fact-finding mission?

Did Mike Arnold come in his capacity as the Volunteer Mayor of Blanco town? What about the film-maker Jeff Gibbs. Did he come as the representative of Blanco town local film association? We were only lied to by Reno Omokri that Mike Arnold is a friend of Senator Ted Cruz and that the latter was informed of the said fact-finding trip. Does mere information stand for consent?

Did these politically inconsequential Americans visit Kaduna, Benue and Plateau States in the course of their fake fact-finding mission? Why was nobody from these most-affected States invited by Reno Omokri to join the so-called fact-finding mission? Which of the IDPs were visited and in what States of the Federation?

There is no gainsaying the fact that Reno Omokri has just carried out a very poorly coordinated and unintelligent con-man job.  He did not see any willing member from even the State Congress to give his fake job but a miserable local town mayor. What a poverty of intelligence management by a notorious political conman.

But one surprising fact is that Reno Omokri does not even understand the meaning of Genocide, a concept he pretends to contradict. Just read his statement:

“Yes, there are killings of Christians in Nigeria, and anyone who denies that would be dishonest. But there are also killings of Muslims. We recently had killings at mosques in Katsina and Zamfara. When terrorists attack Benue, most of the victims are Christians because Benue is Christian dominated; when they hit Zamfara, most victims are Muslims. So, there is no Christian genocide.”

So far Reno Omokri did not tell us why the above killing of Christians he described should not be defined as Genocide. Who were the killers of Christians? Muslims! Who were the unsubstantiated killers of Muslims in Zamfara and Katsina States? Their co-Muslims!

If Muslims fail to describe the killing of Muslims by Muslims as Genocide, which it is not for the reasons of religious solidarity and negligibility in number; does it invalidate the fact that the selective mass killing slaughtering of Christians by Muslims is a valid and incontrovertible case of genocide? I think Reno Omokri needs to consult a psychiatrist.

Article II of the Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide to which Nigeria assented to on July 27, 2009, states inter alia:

“In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

1. Killing members of the group;
2. Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;
3. Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;
4. Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;
5. Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group.”

Similarly, Section 1091 of Title 18, United States Code on Crimes and Criminal Procedure defines Genocide as, “violent attacks with the specific intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group.” So how then can Reno Omokri tell us with the same mouth that the above killings of Christians do not constitute to genocide?

However, my first challenge to Reno Omokri is in respect of the attached two photographs of coffins of slaughtered Christians between which his photo is embedded. I challenge Reno Omokri to present similar evidence of slaughtered Muslims in Zamfara and Katsina States to substantiate his claim of “No Genocide against Christians in Nigeria.” We only hear about Zamfara and Katsina killings and burning of Mosques without tangible evidence of the victims and burnt Mosques.

Again, Remo Omokri’s futile attempt to pass the bulk of the Islamic perpetrated Genocide against Christians on the United States by way of President Barack Obama’s Libya policy shows how shallow his knowledge of the origin of Boko Haram insurgency is, and how incongruous his sense of moral judgment is.

President Obama was President of the United States from 2009 to 2017. Whereas Boko Haram insurgency began its operation precisely on December 22, 2003 in the remote town of Kanamma in Yobe State under the name, Ahlul-Sunnah Jama’a, which was later renamed Taliban; before finally adopting Boko Haram.

It was indeed on September 21, 2004, that the existence of Boko Haram came into national limelight when a group of Islamic fundamentalists which styled itself the “Taliban” launched attack on two Police Stations in Borno State, killing four Policemen and a civilian, in addition to destroying motor vehicles, buildings and seizing large quantities of arms and ammunition.

So neither President Barack Obama nor the United States should be blamed for the on-going Genocide against Christians in Nigeria orchestrated by Islamic insurgents. We know where Barack Obama erred against Christians in Nigeria. That was his outright opposition to President Goodluck Jonathan for refusing to legalize same-sex marriage in Nigeria and subsequent imposition of the ill-famed President Muhammadu Buhari.

There no denying the obvious fact from the foregoing that Reno Omokri speaks under the twin-influence of generic madness and mental poverty. Reno Omokri like his twin-insane brother Femi Fani-Kayode is out of political office and thus very hungry. Both men are hungry because of their burden of political madness resulting to unimaginable political insults on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Like a normal hungry madman therefore, Reno Omokri now scavenges for political spoils of any kind, including the obnoxious as a normal mad man would do.

Indeed, within traditional African cultural setting, madness comes in different forms and characters. There is the type defined by pretentious sanity, in which the person dresses like normal human being, believes oneself to be mentally normal, but often betrayed by his frequent unguarded abnormal psychosomatic outbursts. This is the category Reno Omokri belongs.

In fact, from his medical history, we are accurately informed that Mr. Reno Omokri was diagnosed with a rare genetically-related African mental illness known among Anioma people of Delta State as “Nkonko-Anya” (whirlwind madness), which often manifests spontaneously at the high-point of the patient’s state of mental calmness.

In other words, Reno Omokri is genealogically from the line of madness. Indeed, his current mental status falls within the wider medical perimeter of “Delirium”, defined by Prof Juebin Huang of the Department of Neurology, University of Mississippi Medical Center as, “acute confusional state or toxic-metabolic encephalopathy.”

It was for this reason that his learned Appeal Court Justice-father dissuaded him from engaging in formal legal practice for the fear that he could spontaneously assault either the presiding Magistrate or Judge physically. Here is the stark difference between him and his co-mentally deranged twin brother, Femi Fani-Kayode. While Femi Fani-Kayode’s mental case is derived from excessive consumption of alcohol and hard-drugs, that of Remo Omokri is genetically inherited from his paternal grandmother.

Combined with his established genetically driven madness, Remo Omokri is also incontrovertibly a notorious serial blackmailer, political conman and Jihadist table-shaker. And I will prove the above criminal characteristics of the man called Reno Omokri seriatim and await his response if he has a standing penis.

In fact, Reno Omokri represents what in French is called le petit voleur politique—the little political thief, who often acts with homunculus intelligence, known variously in Nigerian political-crime dictionary as political conman and political job-man.

A man of clandestine social carriage, twisted ideas, bogus mentality and, absurd sense of self-importance constructed on defective opportunism, Reno Omokri, like a typical Nigerian advance-fee fraudster, will always find it very difficult to flow along with the stormy petrels of popular change.

My elder brother the respected Professor Pat Utomi once told me how Reno Omokri approached him to manage his Twitter (X) account. Within a week of his custody of the account, he had impersonated his name in more than 20 different occasions, leading to his eventual withdrawal of the account from him.

Reno Omokri brandishes his image as a best-selling author. Which author and which best-selling book? Is it the hire-purchase accolade earned by highfalutin self-deceit image laundering purchased through fraudulent opinion formulators? A lawyer but only in name, who has no single professional experience; Reno Omokri is a sour-taste to the political image of the Big-Heart State of Delta, South-South geopolitical zone, and the entire oppressed Christians of the Nigerian nation.

As a political conman, his modus operandi depends largely on a hit-and-run blackmail instinct, through which he seeks to create a lever of self-importance and unprofitable satanic popularity. With his socially stinking bogus image of social media influencer, he believes, albeit within his obnoxious state of mental declivity, that he is an important political figure in Nigeria.

To state the obvious, there are nine fundamental characteristics of a political conman which are fully identified in Reno Omokri’s personality. The first is self-centeredness constructed on iniquitous political adventurism. Second is ideological bankruptcy. Third is spiritual bankruptcy. Third is moral corruption. Fourth is tactless opportunism. Fifth is serial inveterate hypocrisy. Sixth is shameless political anima persona. Seventh is infantile cowardice; and ninth, scalar professional quantity.

All these constitute the morbid gangrenous political identity of the man called Reno Omokri. One can readily note these festering elements beginning from the number of spurious non-governmental organizations he claims to be associated with both in Nigeria and United States of America.

Reno Omokri parades himself as Vice President of United States-based Joe Trippi Associates—a United States election consultant organization, a position he claims to hold since 2006, but which indeed was a fake appointment used to rip off President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011, using the American Election Consultant— Joe Trippi as the scammer conduit pipe.

It is interesting to note that when Reno Omokri was asked by Sahara Reporters to prove the authenticity of his appointment with Joe Trippi Associates since 2006 as he claimed, all he could provide was a scanned letter titled “To Whom It May Concern” dated 2007. As Kennedy Emetulu writing from London for Sahara Reporters queried:

“What is in doubt is when he started working with him. He says he’s been employed in Trippi’s firm since 2006 and has tried to produce a letter/affidavit written in 2007 to support this. If Mr Omokri had stopped there, I wouldn’t be pushing it further here; however, since he is interested in putting out documentation to prove his employment with Trippi & Associates, I will have to let him know that what we need is not a letter or affidavit, but his letter of employment in 2006, his ID card(s) within the period and pay stubs/advice and most importantly, evidence of dated work that he’s done for Trippi & Associates from the date of his employment till now. While I am not saying that a scanned letter with the date of 2007 is a forgery, I am saying it isn’t proof enough of the date of his employment with Trippi & Associates or the fact of it.”

It was through this fraudulent election consultancy linkage that President Goodluck Jonathan was ensnared and consequently convinced to appoint him his Special Assistant on New Media.

Using the same dubious job-man strategy, Reno Omokri later cornered Alhaji Atiku Abubakar into his political snare-basket. Only God knows how much this man called Reno Omokri might have swindled Atiku Abubakar, promising him the unworkable Joe Trippi political magic, which even failed to return President Goodluck Jonathan to power in 2015.

In February 2014, Reno Omokri was also found to have forged and stolen the identity of one Wendell Simlin of the United States in his bid to defraud Malam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, former Central Bank Governor and current Emir of Kano, through a spurious attempt to link him to Boko Haram. Indeed, it took the strong report of the victim’s mother to expose Reno Omokri. In her words:

“I am the true Wendell Simlin’s mother here in the States. Appalled to find out my son has been a victim of identity theft, judging from the articles I recently read in your newspaper. Reno met my son after I married his wife’s brother. There are pictures on my Facebook of Reno’s wife, kids, and my ex-husband, Godwin Melle. He is Reno’s wife’s brother.”

It was the same con-man mentality that informed his formation of the following spineless showmanship organizations, #Buses for Democracy, #Free Leah Sharibu Movement, #HarassBuhariOutofLondon, #HarassBuhariOutofNewYork and #BuhariForPrison2023; all of which were designed to swindle unsuspecting Nigerian populace.

A man of insane mercenary instinct lacking in integrity; a moral delinquent of paranoiac order who believes, because his father was an Appeal Court Judge he stands above the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and, thus can swindle anybody and be left off the hook of the law. Reno Omokri has turned himself into a willing catastrophic tool of the draconian Fulani ruling class and their jihad protégés.

Reno Omokri who claims to be a Pastor of a certain Christian Ministry in United States of America. The same man now wants the same injustices being perpetrated against the Christian majority of the Nigerian nation to continue unabated and institutionalized to eternity.

He continuously dished out unimaginable hate-filled highly provocative diatribes laden with unforgivable and unforgettable instinctive insults on the person of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu before he became President. Now he is haggling for political appointment from the same President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The Igbo would say, “Anu gbaa ajo oso, a gbaa ya ajo egbe”—when an animal runs in a dangerous manner, you similarly land it a dangerous shot. Reno Omokri ran in a dangerous manner and so he deserved a dangerous shot.

On June 16, 2022, the shameless Reno Omokri, the lawyer with lawless sense of leprous verbosity, unabashedly apologized to Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu in a most shameless servile manner undeserving of someone who brandishes himself as an unconquerable table-shaker for making jest of his illness. Hear Reno Omokri in his detestable running mouth:

“I have been guilty of using Bola Tinubu’s health status against him and I have come to realize that if we do not die early, we will all age and may suffer ill health. Therefore, I profoundly apologise to Mr. Tinubu and his supporters.”

But could the above apology have melted the vengeful pangs of a man known for his unforgettable spirit against a mad man called Reno Omokri; the kind of man the iconic novelist Chinua Achebe describes as the Nwa-Nza, which, after overfeeding itself, challenged its Chi (Guardian Spirit) to a wrestling bout?

Below are nine backlogs of insults and character assassination by Reno Omokri against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, awaiting a similar apology from him:

1. On May 7, 2022, Reno Omokri said: “If Bola Tinubu agrees to hair and urine sample tests to test for hard drugs in his system, and if he passes, then not only me, but millions of Nigerians will consider supporting him. To make it easy for him, I am prepared to pay for such a test. Over to Tinubu! “
2. On June 9, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “If Tinubu can’t even hold the flag of APC, how does he expect to hold the bigger flag of Nigeria?”
3. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “Bola Tinubu, Were You Linked with a Heroin Drug in the United States? #Yes or No!”
4. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “We can’t have a KNOWN DRUG LORD as our President. Heroin is more damaging than cocaine. Anybody connected to it belongs in JAIL.”
5. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “The big issue with Tinubu is not his certificates, lack of them. It is the fact that he is a KNOWN DRUG LORD who was involved in a heroin drug cartel in the US, and forfeited millions in drug funds to US authorities. As any lawyer will tell you, a forfeiture is a confession of guilt!”
6. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “We have the court documents. We have the names of those involved and their past and current addresses. I again challenge Bola Tinubu to sue me if these facts are not accurate. He is not a fit and proper person to occupy the office of the President of Nigeria.”
7. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “I challenge @officialABAT, if you were not involved in a heroin drug ring in the United States in 1991-1993, then take me to court. Nigeria cannot have a KNOWN DRUG LORD as her President. God forbid. I also challenge Tinubu to take a drug test with @NDLEA Nigeria.”
8. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “We don’t want a Pablo Escobar as our President come 2023. We don’t need a drug cartel boss turning Aso Rock into a drug den. We don’t want to be wondering whether our President has sniffed something before he ludiculously addressing on taxing Agbado and cassava!”
9. On June 29, 2022, Reno Omokri stated: “We must know who, amongst those angling to occupy Aso Rock, has a past history with a drug cartel. Mba, mba, mba! The office of the President of Nigeria is too powerful to be entrusted to a a man with known drug connections. Nigeria will not become Colombia. Tufiakwa!”

It is bad enough to have a cup of clean water in a leprous hand; but to have a cup of unclean water in a leprous hand is unimaginable. This is the perfect definition of Reno Omokri’s personality under the present political circumstances of the Nigerian nation. Simply put, Reno Omokri is the bearer of unclean water with a leprous hand.
