Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu arrived at the Supreme Court on Thursday, in another attempt to arrest the scheduled November 20 judgement.
NewsBits reports that this is a second attempt in 24 hours to stop the Federal High Court presided over by Justice James Omotosho from delivering judgment in the case filed against him by the Nigerian Government.
Just yesterday, Wednesday, Kanu filed a motion before the Appeal Court, asking it to halt the expected judgment. He has now stormed the Supreme Court, where he submitted a letter to the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Kudirat Kekere-Ekun.
His arrival at the Supreme Court is part of his last-minute attempts to discontinue his case, which is set for judgment on November 20th. The IPOB leader was accompanied by officials of the Department of State Services, DSS. Kanu’s grounds remain that the law under which he was being tried had been repealed.
