The Traditional Ruler of Ifitedunu Community in Anambra, Igwe Chukwuemeka Ilouno, said that he will be giving bursary awards of N100,000 to no fewer than 25 students drawn from schools within the community.
This is contained in a statement made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Enugu by the royal father announcing his triple celebrations, which included his yearly ‘Ofala’ and 20 years on the throne of his great ancestors.
Ilouno, who is also known as Eze Dunu, said that the triple celebrations included celebration of his mother, the Queen Mother of the king of Blessed Ifitedunu Kingdom, “who is a 100-plus years young”.
The royal father said that there were plans to extend health insurance coverage to at least 100 indigent households within the Ifitedunu community. According to him, these three events I shall be celebrating on December 29, are triple celebrations.
He said, “As the father figure of Ifitedunu Community, I would love to carry out the following assignments, with your generous support.
“I intend to distribute school writing materials to about 400 pupils and give academic support of N20,000 to every pupil that maintains the first position in his/her class this 2024/25 academic year.
“Give out a 5kg bag of rice to 500 women of Ifitedunu community origin.
“As the spirit of God leads you, please help me to fund this project by supplying any quantity of the items or donating to EZE DUNU SPECIAL PROJECT GROUP, ACCESS BANK 1828005271.”
Ilouno, who is the Vice Chairman of the Traditional Rulers Council of Dunukofia LGA, prayed God to bless any individual who contributes to uplifting humanity within his kingdom.
“May our good Lord keep showering His blessings on you, as you extend your hand of love to support the community and me in this season,” he added.
