L-R: Governor Fubara, Minister Wike
Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State has responded to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, over the agreement reached with President Bola Tinubu.
Wike had threatened to reveal the details of the agreements reached between him on Fubara before Tinubu. The Minister made the remark in what seems like renewed hostility between the Minister and his estranged successor.
Reacting, Fubara urged residents of the state not to be worried about the sound of war.
Speaking in his new year message at the Rivers State Government House, Fubara said: “Don’t be troubled by the sound of war you’re hearing. You know the promise we made to the man (President Tinubu) who stood by us to be standing today.
“We’ll continue to give him that support, not by noise, not by threats, but by assuring the people of Rivers State, that in a peaceful manner, that Tinubu will have his way in Rivers State.”
