Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Nma Odu, will get their impeachment notice within the next seven days. This was part of the resolution taken by the Rivers State House of Assembly during plenary on Thursday.
Major Jack, the leader of the assembly, had during plenary read the gross misconduct charges against Governor Fubara and his deputy during an emergency plenary on Thursday.
At least 26 members of the House moved for the governor’s impeachment. The Speaker, Martins Amaewhule, said the notice of gross misconduct will be served to Governor Fubara and his deputy in the next 7 days.
