The National Chairman, APC Youth Progressive Forum, Rt. Hon. Ukkasha Hamza Rahama has described the immediate past Acting Committee Chairman of the All Progressives Congress Enugu State Chapter, Dr. Ben Nwoye, as “the best person for the office of the APC Deputy National Chairman South,” citing his track record of loyalty, commitment, and hard work.

Addressing a press conference in Abuja during when Nwoye’s qualities as a faithful party stalwart were highlighted, Rahama said the politician “is a champion of the South region”, who possessed “decades of unwavering loyalty and commitment to the progress of the APC”, and “has proven himself to be an ideal candidate for the position of Deputy National Chairman (South)”.

Rahama, who also spoke on Nwoye’s vision for the APC, further told his audience at the press conference: “Dr. Nwoye’s vision for the APC is not just about rhetoric but about revolutionary action. He aims to mobilize millions of Nigerians to renew their mandate for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, while opening floodgates of empowerment, employment, training, and global opportunities that will reward loyalty, uplift the forgotten, and ignite the brightest futures for women and youth.”

The APC youth leader also commented on Nwoye’s mobilisation skills and ability to reach out to the grassroots in the remote parts of the southeast, south-south, and southwest zones of Nigeria.

According to him, “His mobilisation strategy is elegant and unstoppable, a grassroots symphony of town-hall dialogues, digital town criers, and community champions that will sweep across every ward, village, and city in the South-East, South-South, and South-West.

“Imagine a network of 10,000 trained APC ambassadors, young men and women equipped with smartphones, branded with hope, and fired by purpose, carrying President Tinubu’s message of security, economic revival, and inclusive growth into every household.

“Through culturally resonant storytelling in Igbo, Yoruba, Ijaw, Efik, and pidgin, Dr. Nwoye will rekindle the fire of 2023, ensuring that 2027 becomes not just a victory but a landslide of historic proportions. His commitment to empowerment is unwavering, with a focus on women and youth, the twin engines of Nigeria’s tomorrow.”

Rahama spoke on Nwoye’s reward system. “Dr. Nwoye’s genius lies in his unshakable commitment to reward those who sacrificed for victory. Through strategic collaboration with key Federal Ministries, Departments, and Agencies, he will architect a comprehensive empowerment ecosystem. Party faithfuls who mobilised, canvassed, and delivered votes will no longer be spectators; they will be the first beneficiaries.

“Picture this: thousands of women, men, and youths, market leaders, artisans, and entrepreneurs receiving targeted grants, business training, and access to CBN’s intervention funds through a new “APC Southern Prosperity Window.” Youths who braved the sun and rain during campaigns will gain priority access to N-Power 2.0, digital skills academies, and international training scholarships.”

He said that Nwoye had already begun laying the groundwork for partnerships that “will send hundreds of deserving party members abroad for specialised training in renewable energy, agribusiness, technology, and healthcare – opportunities that will return as skilled human capital to build the South’s economy. Employment will no longer be a lottery.”

Rahama further said: “Through collaboration with federal agencies and private sector giants, Dr. Nwoye will create a dedicated ‘APC South Talent Pipeline’, a database that matches loyal party members with jobs in infrastructure projects, the creative industry, agriculture value chains, and the blue economy. Those who gave their all to deliver victory for the President will receive certification in vocational skills, with guaranteed internships and full-time placements.

“At the heart of this vision beats a special emphasis on women and youth. Dr. Nwoye will institutionalise a “Women and Youth Empowerment Desk” right at the Deputy National Chairman’s office, ensuring that every federal programme is ring-fenced for APC members who delivered victory. Women will receive micro-credit facilities, leadership training, and political mentorship to contest and win elective offices.

“In conclusion, Dr. Ben Nwoye is not just a candidate for the position of Deputy National Chairman (South); he is a visionary leader who has dedicated his life to the progress of the APC and the South region. His decades of unwavering loyalty, commitment, and service make him an ideal candidate for the job. We urge all delegates to support his candidacy and join us in building a brighter future for the APC and Nigeria.”
