I am one of the frontiers for Peter Obi for President…I am using every experience I have gathered over the years as a PR professional and a broadcast media journalist to drive this vehicle. This has to be the greatest youthful electoral participation Nigeria has ever witnessed, the people finally woke up.
I am very optimistic about this journey and the fight to save Nigeria. The days are gone when we use the terminology “Your vote doesn’t count;” “Every election is rigged…” bla bla bla! We ain’t handing over the reins this time! And the reason I am super optimistic about our victory is because I am a woman who have chosen to take responsibility in this process! And we can all do same.
Everyone must make up their minds to get a PVC and vote in the coming election! Everybody must take responsibility because when we do, “Nigeria by default gets better.” Nigeria for the first time has this light of hope shining down on it, just because we have “Obidents” running a campaign for a man they believe in…We will no longer fold our hands and allow despair to set in.
This is a call for action…Everybody can do something…Most Obidient volunteers are first-time campaign volunteers:
- It is the first-time people are using their monies to promote a candidate
- The first time someone called their neighbour to get a PVC and vote
- The first time we are having political cells for a candidate
- The first time someone knocked on your door to speak to you about voting
- Or someone organized a party to sensitize people on voting
What I have seen across the board is that the people are tired, and they are stepping up to taking back their nations from the wicked ruling of greedy and selfish men…We will be the generation that reshapes our economy to compete in the digital age. We will set high standards for our schools and give them the resources they need to succeed:
- Let’s be the generation that ends poverty in Nigeria
- Let’s be the generation that finally tackles our health care crisis
- Let’s be the generation that finally frees Nigeria from the tyranny of oil
- Let’s be the generation that makes future generations proud of what we did here
Most of all, let’s be the generation that never forgets what happened at the Lekki Toll Gate, we must confront everyone who has a hand in it…we must work together to keep our country safe. As Lincoln organized the forces arrayed against slavery, he was heard to say:
“Of strange, discordant, and even hostile elements, we gathered from the four winds, and formed and fought to battle through.” That is our purpose as Obidents and our driving force…Just like President Obama did and said together, starting today, let us finish the work that needs to be done, and usher in a new birth of freedom on this Earth. Nigeria will be great with Peter Obi and we will say no to a bunch of recycled visionless and corrupt politicians.
