APC Reacts To Death Of Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu Party Chair In Oyo State

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State is reeling from the devastating loss of its Chairman, Barrister Isaac Ajiboye Omodewu, who passed away at the age of 61.

Omodewu, a respected lawyer from Otu, breathed his last in the late hours of Sunday in the United States, where he had been receiving treatment for an undisclosed illness since November 2023. Even during his illness, he remained connected with friends, associates, and key stakeholders within the Oyo APC, up until his final moments.

In a heartfelt statement issued on Monday, Oyo APC Publicity Secretary Olawale Sadare conveyed the party’s shock and disbelief at Omodewu’s untimely transition.

He noted, “A mighty Iroko tree has fallen, leaving an enormous vacuum in our Party. Our late chairman embodied humility, kindness, and selflessness. He took the helm during a turbulent time and worked tirelessly to stabilize our party. It is tragic that he departed just when his efforts at reconciliation were finally beginning to bear fruit.”

“As we extend our heartfelt condolences to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, our National Chairman, and all APC members across Nigeria, we pray for Omodewu’s eternal rest. May God grant strength to his immediate family, friends, and associates as they navigate this profound loss.”
