Prof. Joseph Alakali has resigned from his position as Secretary to the Benue State Government (SSG). Sources indicate that his departure is due to personal challenges.
Sir Tersoo Kula, Chief Press Secretary to Governor Hyacinth Alia, announced the resignation in a statement on Tuesday, revealing that Alakali submitted his resignation letter on Monday.
The statement noted, “In accepting the resignation, Governor Alia expressed his gratitude to Prof. Alakali for his service to the state over the past year and three months.” It continued, “He wishes him well and prays that the Almighty grants the former SSG the strength to overcome the many challenges he has chosen to confront.”
