Senator Eze Flags Off Road Construction For Constituency

The Senator for Ebonyi Central Senatorial District and Chairman Senate Committee on Information and National Orientation, Ken Eze has flagged off the construction of a 10km Amagu-Achiukoro-Nsokara Feeder Road project in Ezza South Local Government Area of the state.

Handing the road project over to the construction firm, Skiland International Limited, Senator Eze noted that rural road is one of his areas of interest, and maintained that the 10km concrete pavement road is part of his efforts in supporting the efforts of the state government on road construction and maintenance.

The Senator, who is also presently carrying out rural electrification and solar street light projects across several communities in Ikwo, Ishielu, Ezza North and Ezza South Local Goverment Areas of the Ebonyi Central Senatorial District, explained that the rural road project would be carried out in phases across his constituency.

He noted d that the road has posed a major challenge to the rural dwellers, especially the famers, but expressed satisfaction and confidence in Governor Nwifuru’s effort in the development of road infrastructure for the people of Ebonyi State.

According to him, “this project is in furtherance of my support to the numerous road infrastructure projects of His Excellency, Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, as captured in the People’s Charter of Needs Agenda of his administration in Ebonyi State.”

In a remark, one of the officials of Anambra-Imo River Basin Development Authority, Engr. Chikwere Ihemeremu, described Senator Eze as a go-getter. He extolled the efforts of the senator for his prompt response to the yearnings of his constituents.

Engr. Ihermermu said, “Senator Ken Eze is a go-getter and I want to commend him highly for always attending to the basic needs of his people, especially those in the rural areas.”

Some stakeholders from the area who were present at the event, including a Senior Legislative Aide to the Deputy Senate President, Hon. Philip Eworo, immediate past Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP in Ebonyi State, Barr. Ifeanyi Nworie, and a former Councillor of Amagu-Nsokara Ward, Hon. Ikechukwu Ukpabi, expressed satisfaction with Senator Eze’s performance.

They thanked the senator for making his people proud with quality representation, adding that he has embarked on several life-touching programmes, including economic empowerment, job creation, and capital projects.
