Anambra Government Vows To Apprehend Perpetrators Of Nibo Bloodbath

Anambra State Government has promised a handsome reward for information that would lead to the arrest of those who perpetrated alleged cult-related killings at Nibo, Awka South Local Area of the state on October 20.

No fewer than 13 persons were shot dead by the gunmen whose identities are yet to be ascertained in the bloody attack that took place Sunday evening.

A statement issued by the Commissioner for Information, Mr. Law Mefor noted that it was just another instance of the kind of violent crimes linked to cults that have occurred recently, and the state government was determined to end it.

He stated: “The government sympathises with the families of the deceased and assures them that the government will get to the root of the incident and bring the perpetrators to book.

“To this end, the government appeals to members of the public to avail it of any useful information that will lead to the arrest of the perpetrators, while assuring them of confidentiality and a handsome reward.”

The State Government implored law-abiding Anambra State residents to go about their lawful businesses without fear while the state government works with security services to handle the incident.
