The Progressive Group, a new political platform led by the former Chairman of the Enugu State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has congratulated the newly appointed Acting National Chairman of the party, Hon. Ali Burkar, for the new position.
In a statement personally signed by Nwoye, said to be a close ally of the new APC Chairman, he described Burkar as a bridge-builder and political stabilizer in the APC. “As you move up to this new position, your legacy as a bridge-builder and political stabilizer within the APC is expected to be put into action immediately. We wish you success,” Nwoye wrote in the statement.
He also said: “On behalf of the Progressives Group, I warmly congratulate Hon. Dalori on his appointment as the Acting National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC).”
Nwoye, while reflecting on the leadership style of the new national Chairman when he was Deputy National Chairman North and the Chairman of APC in Bornu State, said Dalori’s style and quality as a grassroots politician prepared him actually for the present position.
“Under your leadership as the Deputy National Chairman North, the APC Northern region witnessed remarkable growth and cohesion within its party structure. “Your strategic vision and experience as a true grassroots politician prepared you for the job,” Nwoye said in the statement.
According to him, “As the APC Chairman of Borno State, you used your strategic mobilisation skills to gain total victory for APC in all elections in Borno State.
“Your leadership style was first brought to the national level when you ascended to the position of Chairman of the APC State Chairmen Forum.
“In that you demonstrated an unparalleled collegiate leadership style, which earned you tremendous respect from your peers around the country.”
