It was more of a jubilation and celebration as Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd made a presentation of assorted prizes, including five brand new cars to outstanding realtors who were able to market up to N100million worth of properties across Nigeria on the company’s platform.
The ceremony, Mid-Year Realtors’ Feast 2025, which took place on Saturday, had over 1,000 realtors filling to capacity one of the halls at the International Conference Centre, Independence Layout, Enugu. It had Lady Uchechi Njoku smiling home with a Toyota Corolla. Uchechi danced almost uncontrollably with her friends and well-wishers as she was called up to the podium to receive the car key plus N500,000 to enable her to fuel the vehicle.
Addressing the huge audience, she said: “This is a wonderful achievement happening here in the southeast, and made possible by Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd. “Earlier last year, I was walking around the whole state to market the properties, and it was as if nothing was coming forth. But with time, all the efforts started yielding results by God’s grace.”
She expressed gratitude to the Managing Director of the company, Architect Chibuikem Emmanuel Onyekachi, who gave her the opportunity to prove her worth. “I want to also thank my MD for the special addition. Thank you very much for this recognition. For me, more achievements and more targets. Thank you all for coming to celebrate with me,” she said.
Another lucky realtor, who drove home a brand-new Toyota Spider, is Mr. Anikworji Chukwuemeka Joel, a 600-level student of Dentistry and Surgery at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. Joel, who addressed journalists, however, expressed surprise and joy, while describing the reward as a motivation and encouragement to do more in the real estate sector.

Joel said, “Being gifted with this car feels like a dream. I joined Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd not knowing what to expect, but I found a team that welcomed me and guided me. “Being a student and also part of something this big is very encouraging. It shows that hard work for the company really pays.”
Earlier on the occasion, the Managing Director of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Architect Chibuikem Emmanuel Onyekachi, assured realtors and customers of the company’s drive to render services that deliver the needed satisfaction. According to Onyekachi, the company’s vision “is to remain at the forefront of innovative real estate development, where professionalism, honesty, and consistency in business dealings with clients remain their priority.”
He further said that the ceremony, which comes twice a year, is an approach adopted by the company to empower her partners and staff who are hardworking and willing to help the company to thrive through the sale of their properties across the country. Also speaking, Veteran Nollywood actress and brand ambassador of Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd, Mrs. Patience Ozokwo, popularly known as Mama G, praised the company for making housing a realistic dream for many young Nigerians.
She stated that the company had provided an opportunity for realtors and other real estate practitioners to take pride in the value they are offering society, while also praising their top-notch customer care services.
She also applauded Architect Onyekachi for his commitment to providing trustworthy services for customers, adding that he has distinguished himself among others in the real estate sector. “Powell Homes and Shelters Ltd is not just another real estate company. NewsBits reports that the event was attended by customers and over 100 active realtors, mainly young people, who sold properties for the company in different locations across Nigeria. The realtors were rewarded with assorted items such as refrigerators, iPhones 12 and 14, Plazma TV sets, microwaves, electric fans and clippers, refrigerators, generators, and others.
