Weeks after he sacked his aide for protesting against insecurity, the Principal Special Assistant to the Benue State Governor on Youth and Media Mobilization, Mr. Atu Terver, popularly known as Krayzeetee, has been abducted.
Terver’s whereabouts remain unknown as there has been no communication from the unidentified individuals.
NewsBits reports that Benue has been faced with a high scale of insecurity since 2025 began. The development has left hundreds killed, many displaced, and both residents and road users being kidnapped almost daily.
However, Terver’s abduction was made public late Tuesday after his wife raised the alarm in an emotional post on social media. According to her, she received a distress call from her husband in a frightened tone, saying: “I have been abducted, call mummy.”
Attempts to reach his phone afterwards were unsuccessful. Terver recently made headlines for sacking one of his own aides who participated in a protest against killings in Benue. Authorities are yet to officially confirm the abduction or provide details on rescue efforts.
