The Nigerian Government has announced a historic revenue for the month of August 2025. The figure showed that the federal, state, and local governments shared the highest revenue of N2.2 trillion.
This is the highest when compared to the N2.001 trillion shared last month. The revenue was announced through a communique signed by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) on Wednesday.
The reports that there have been concerns in Nigeria that, despite the increase in revenue being shared by the three tiers of government, the masses are groaning over hardship. While the removal of fuel subsidy freed more money for the governments to share, it is yet to reflect on the life of the common Nigerians.
