Senator Ned Nwoko, on Saturday, declared that the viral medical report suggesting that his wife, Regina Daniels, has been battling severe substance abuse is true. There has been controversy over a viral report by the Serenity Royale Hospital in Abuja.
The purported report had indicated that the actress was diagnosed with a substance use disorder and was prior to the marital crisis, placed on a home-based detox programme starting September 24, 2025.
The document was signed by the management of the hospital and the Head of Clinical Services, Adekunle Adesina. But the hospital on Thursday issued a statement, distancing itself from the report, saying it did not emanate from them.
However, Ned Nwoko in a statement issued on Saturday by his media team, said the viral reports are genuine. The lawmaker explained that the hospital management only denied leaking the documents, but “did not deny authoring the report”.
He said, “A medical report concerning Regina Nwoko has been circulating online. The reports are genuine. The rehabilitation center only clarified that it did not publish or circulate the documents.
“They did not deny authoring the report; the concern is the leak itself. The public is encouraged to read the full report because it explains the situation clearly and directly. Both the toxicology report and the Serenity Hospital reports confirm the presence of the same substances, all at levels that pose serious health risks.
“Marijuana, cocaine, morphine, opiates at extremely elevated levels and alcohol at a critically dangerous level”.
