Fulani Jihadist that are bent on Islamisation agenda in Nigeria
A member of the Enugu State House of Assembly, Hon Harrison Ogara, has raised the alarm over the increasing insecurity along the Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi-Nsukka Road in Enugu State.
NewsBits reports that this comes amid daily reports of kidnapping activities along the road. Many travellers have been questioning the inability of security operatives to end the frequent abductions on the Ugwuogo-Nike-Opi-Nsukka Road despite a lot of checkpoints. Within the last week, there have been reports of kidnappings on the said road on a daily basis.
While raising concern over the situation, Ogara, representing Igbo-Eze South State Constituency, wrote on his Facebook page: “Ugwuogo Nike-Opi Nsukka Road has suddenly become the deadliest road as we approach Christmas. Kidnappers are now more audacious.”
His post immediately attracted several reactions, with many people sharing their sad experiences on the road in question. One Andy Obaka wrote: “It has been, Hon, I once encountered them, but luck was on my side. Only my cell phones and money were lost, near that shrine, by left as you proceed to Opi Junction. Only a purposeful government can root them out.”
Ogara then responded to his comment thus: “Can you imagine that? We have about five police checkpoints around that Api Opi shrine and ten other points along that route, yet we are so exposed to this danger of being kidnapped.
“We have raised this issue over and over on the floor of the House of Assembly, but the Police would rather look the other way while the terrorists have their field day. This is totally unacceptable.”
