The Women Aid Collective (WACOL) said that it has launched fundraising for sanctuary accommodation for the vulnerable just as the pro-women Non-Governmental Organisation treated 82,000 cases of Gender Based Violence in the country.

The Founding Executive Director, WACOL, Prof. Joy Ezeilo (SAN), made this known at a 2026 International Women’s Day (IWD) Press Briefing held in Enugu.
