On Sunday July 19, 2020, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 556 new cases of the dreaded Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic in the country. The new numbers bring the total number of positive cases to 36,663. The NCDC made the announcement on Sunday night through its Twitter handle at 11:30p.m. on Sunday.
However, a total of 15,105 patients have been discharged to reunite with their families just as a total of 789 deaths have also been recorded as a result of complications arising from the virus. The breakdown of the 556 new cases of #COVID19Nigeria as reported from across the states are as follows:
