The Chairman South East Council of Traditional Rulers, His Royal Highness Igwe Samuel Ikechukwu Asadu, Igwe Ogadagidi of Edem-Ani Ogwugwu Ancient Kingdom in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State has congratulated Muslim faithful across the South East Zone, Nigeria and around the world on the occasion of the EID-EL-KABIR celebration.
Igwe Asadu said: “I felicitate the Muslim Community in our beloved Enugu State across the South East States, Nigeria and the world as you celebrate EID-EL-KABIR. I pray God to grant you blessings and peace. I wish to urge you to use this celebration to show love and kindness to those who do not have what to celebrate with during this season.”
Igwe Ogadagidi, who is also the Chairman of Enugu State Council of Traditional Rulers, described Eid al-Kabir as a celebration which marks the end of Ramadan while the Muslim Ramadan is a time for spiritual reflection, prayer, doing good deeds and spending time with family and friends.
He urged the Muslim faithful to show love to their neighbours especially to the less privileged, the poor and vulnerable by extending benevolence to them as they continue to appreciate God for the strength to complete the Ramadan fast. Igwe Ogadagidi prayed for the peace, blessings and graciousness of God Almighty to Muslims across Nigeria.
His Majesty, Igwe Asadu will as part of his itinerary, visit and celebrate with the Muslim Community in Enugu State Nigeria.
