COVID-19 Private Sector Relief Fund Is Now N25.9bn

Private sector donations into the relief fund set up by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to raise funds to combat the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic have risen to N25.894 billion as at Friday April 17, 2020 according to a statement issued by the Director, Corporate Communications, CBN, Mr. Isaac Okoroafor.

The statement highlighted the fact that the total number of individuals and organisations that have responded to the call for support has risen to 107. Okoroafor, who urged more Nigerians and corporate bodies to contribute to the fund, also charged Nigerians to to follow the directives of both the federal government and medical experts to ensure that the country contains the spread of the deadly disease.
