Finally, APC Drops Hope Uzodinma, Bassey Otu To Chair Fresh Edo Guber Primary

To avert the impending crisis that is looming in Edo State, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Governor Bassey Otu of Cross River State, as the chairman of its governorship primary election committee in Edo State. He replaces the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma who has faced severe criticism since the shambolic primaries, which he chaired.

The party declared the initial primary election inconclusive after some governorship aspirants were declared winners of the exercise. Recall that Hope Uzodinma, governor of Imo and chairman of the panel when the primary was held on Saturday, had declared Dennis Idahosa, a member of the house of representatives, winner of the exercise.
