Ex-Governor, Ngige, Remanded In Kuje Prison

Former Governor of Anambra State, Chris Ngige, has been remanded at the Kuje Correctional Centre. This came after he was arraigned before Justice Mariam Hassan of the Federal Capital Territory High Court.

Ngige will remain in prison pending the hearing of the bail application. He was docked before the court by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC. The former Minister of Labour and Productivity is facing a N2.2bn corruption allegation. The judge adjourned the case to Monday, 15th December, for the hearing of the bail application.

NewsBits recalls that the former Minister had earlier cried out over the manner he was arrested.
