Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State is said to be presently in a closed-door meeting with a chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), and presidential aspirant, Mr Peter Obi.
NewsBits reports that the development comes as speculations continue on the next political move Governor Bala Mohammed would make. Also in the meeting are some Senators from the South-East.
NewsBits learnt that the meeting is taking place at the Bauchi Government House. Obidient Movement National Coordinator, Yunusa Tanko confirmed the closed-door meeting.
“Obi came with his team from the Southeast which included some Southeast senators. We are in Bauchi right now and the pictures and details will soon be out,” Daily Post quoted him as saying. It could be recalled that days ago, the governor halted his earlier planned defection to the All Progressives Congress, APC, from the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
According to media reports, he made a U-turn after the APC gave him unfavourable conditions.
