The Rule of Law and Accountability Advocacy Centre (RULAAC) extends its heartfelt condolences to the Inspector-General of Police, the officers and men of the Nigeria Police Force, particularly the officers and personnel of Zone 9 Headquarters, Umuahia, and the Abia State Police Command, on the passing of Assistant Inspector-General of Police, AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu.
We received with deep sadness the news of the death of AIG Uzuegbu following his battle with cancer. His passing is a painful loss not only to the Nigeria Police Force but also to all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him during his distinguished career in public service.
AIG Uzuegbu served his country with dedication, commitment, and professionalism. Throughout his years in the Nigeria Police Force, he contributed his quota to the maintenance of law and order and the promotion of public safety. His death has undoubtedly created a vacuum in the Force and among his colleagues and associates.
RULAAC particularly extends its sympathies to the Inspector-General of Police, the leadership and personnel of Zone 9 Police Headquarters, Umuahia, the Abia State Police Command, and the immediate and extended family of the late AIG. We recognize the pain and grief occasioned by this loss and stand in solidarity with all those mourning him at this difficult time.
We pray that Almighty God grants the soul of AIG Kanayo Uzuegbu eternal rest and gives his family, friends, colleagues, and loved ones the strength, comfort, and fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
May his soul rest in peace.
