Today, 29th May 2026, the disability community of Enugu State stands as one voice to celebrate you, our Innovator Governor. Three years ago you took an oath. Today, you have taken Enugu to a new level of governance where no one is left behind.
You Turned Promises Into Institutions. On 14th December 2024, at the old Government Lodge, Ndi-Enugu spoke. JONAPWD spoke. You listened. And without delay you pledged: “My Government will establish the Enugu State Persons With Disabilities Commission within the first quarter of 2025”.
Today, that pledge is not a speech. It is law. It is an institutional structure. It is the Enugu State Persons With Disabilities Commission Board, inaugurated under your government, demonstrating your inclusive character dispositions. You’ve proven that you means what you says and says what you means at all times. For 24 years, Enugu State citizens with disabilities begged for a seat at the table. In 3 years, you built the table, gave us the seat.
That is not politics. That is justice. That is empathy. That is unprecedented goodwill. That is why we call you the *Talk-and-Do Governor* and the Inclusion Governor of our time.
Three Years Of Vision, Not Just Projects. Your 3 years have been defined by disruptive innovation. Human Capital Revolution, Smart Green Schools and Type-2 PHCs in every ward are not buildings. They are declarations that every Enugu child, with or without disability, deserves quality education and health.
Economic Dignity: From 260 Farm Estates to MSME support, you are moving people from poverty to productivity. For persons with disabilities, this means jobs, skills, and independence — not sympathy. Security & Infrastructure: Safer roads, safer communities, safer futures. An inclusive state must first be a safe state.
You run a government of empathy. You ensured the “voice of the voiceless” has a seat in the Executive Council. Many governors talk inclusion. You institutionalized it. Your “Leave No One Behind” philosophy is no longer a slogan. It is budget lines. It is appointments. It is the Disability Commission. It is accessibility clauses in new buildings. You have proven that *disability inclusion is not charity. It is smart governance*. When you empower 15% of your population, you grow your entire economy.
Your Excellency, we see the work. We feel the impact. And we will match your courage with our commitment.
The over 200,000 citizens with disabilities in Enugu State, plus our families, caregivers, and allies*, pledge today:
- Total Support: We will defend, promote, and partner with your administration to make the Disability Commission succeed.
- Grassroots Mobilization: We will take your message of inclusion to the last village in Enugu East, Enugu North, Enugu West Senatorial Zones, and every LGA of our State.
- 2027 Mandate: Leaders who deliver for the marginalized deserve a second term to finish the work. Come 2027, our votes, prayers, and advocacy will stand solidly with you.
Conclusion
Governor Mbah, you did not just inaugurate the Enugu State Persons With Disabilities Commission. You inaugurated hope. You inaugurated dignity. You inaugurated our tomorrow.
The Enugu State Disability Community felicitates with you on your performing and remarkable three years in office. Three years down. Greater years ahead. Wishing you God’s abundance Grace always. Long live Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah! Long live Enugu State! Long live Nigerian Democracy!
Indeed, Our Tomorrow Is Here!
