The National Directorate of Employment, NDE, said it has opened its portal for registration in the Third Phase of the Renewed Hope Employment Initiative (RHEI 3).
The Enugu State Coordinator, Oluka Godwin Odoh, in a statement by the NDE Enugu Information Officer, Ugwuoke Ikechukwu, on Friday, explained that the Programme aims to train 26,961 unemployed Nigerians, including Enugu State youths. Those who benefited from the First and Second Phases are no longer eligible for the Third Phase, according to the statement.
“The Third Phase of RHEI is an initiative that aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda on job creation, human capital development and poverty alleviation,” the statement indicated.
The Enugu State NDE Coordinator said that the Programme would provide training in Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Information and Communication Technology (ICT, Technical and Vocational Skills, as well as Special Public Works (SPW. Oluka explained that women and youths aged between 18 – 45 who are unskilled or unemployed are eligible for the exercise.
He added that people with disabilities within the age bracket can also apply. Interested persons can also apply through the Directorate’s Portal www.nderegistearionportal.ng or www nde.gov.ng
He encouraged participants with worries to visit the state office at No. 28 Okpara Avenue, Enugu for more enquiries. He advised applicants to carefully read and follow all registration guidelines before submitting their applications and to also print, save or copy down the acknowledgment ID Numbers after submission.
According to Oluka, the registration will last from 23rd July to 29th July 2026, while the flag-off will be done nationwide on the 4th of August 2026. The Enugu NDE boss revealed that the training will commence immediately after the selection exercise, while resettlement follows.
