Suspected hired killers reportedly murdered a popular politician in Enugu State, Prince Ikechukwu Oloto.
NewsBits reports that Oloto, popularly known as Okanga Moo, is a prominent politician in the Nsukka area of the state and is from the Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State. Multiple sources said that Oloto was allegedly attacked and killed inside his residence at Odenigbo, Nsukka.
According to reports circulating on social media, the attackers allegedly used a knife to kill the politician. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear, while the identity and motive of the attackers have yet to be established.
Confirming the development in a Facebook post, a social media influencer, Sen Chijinkem Ugwuanyi, said Oloto was killed by unknown gunmen at his residence in Odenigbo.
Ugwuanyi wrote: “Prince Ikechukwu Oloto aka ‘Okanga Mo’ was killed yesterday evening by Unknown Gunmen in Nsukka, right in his residence at Odenigbo.
“He was brutally cut into pieces.” As of the time of filing this report, there was no official statement from the Enugu State Police Command on the incident. However, many people have taken to social media, expressing shock over the incident.
