A son of former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, Abba Atiku Abubakar, has pledged 10 buses to support the re-election campaign of President Bola Tinubu in 2027, in a political development that places him on the opposite side of his father’s presidential ambition.

He made the pledge during a visit to the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Secretariat in Abuja on Friday, where he declared support for Tinubu’s second-term bid. He was received by the APC Deputy National Chairman (North), Bukar Dalori, according to a statement by the party’s Senior Special Assistant on Youth Mobilisation to the Deputy National Chairman, Yusi Buba.

The statement said Abba commended the APC leadership and the Tinubu administration, expressing his commitment to mobilising support for the President and Vice-President Kashim Shettima ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He was quoted as having pledged 10 buses to strengthen the party’s mobilisation activities across the country. Dalori welcomed the gesture, describing it as a boost to the party’s preparations for the forthcoming elections.

The development follows Abba’s unveiling of the Haske Bola Tinubu Organisation, a political support platform established to mobilise Nigerians for Tinubu’s re-election.

Speaking at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, Abba announced plans to commence the organisation’s activities in the Federal Capital Territory before extending them to other parts of the country.

He also disclosed plans for a two-million-man mobilisation march across Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, beginning with Abuja. Abba had defected from the Peoples Democratic Party to the APC in January, openly declaring his support for Tinubu’s second-term ambition.
