The presidential campaign organisation of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has appointed the recently sworn in Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke into the campaign council as a member.
Adeleke is now the Chairman of the Council’s South-West Coordinating Committee, according to a notice signed by the Director-General of the PDP presidential campaign organisation, Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal on Saturday.
Tambuwal also named other PDP members to head strategic offices in the presidential campaign council of its candidacy of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the presidential flag bearer of the PDP in next year’s election.
The Sokoto State Governor said the “appointments are with immediate effects.” They include that of Senator Dino Melaye as Director of Public Affairs. Appointments into the zonal coordinating committee are:
1. South-East: Senator Theodore Orji (Chairman)
2. South-South: Senator Duoye Diri (Chairman)
3. South-West: Senator Ademola Adeleke (Chairman)
4. North-Central: Senator Gabriel Suswam (Chairman)
5. North-East: Darius Ishiaku (Chairman)
6. North-West: Adamu Aliero (Chairman)
The statement also said that Zonal Liaison Desk Officers were also appointed.
