Former President of the Performing Musicians Association of Nigeria (PMAN), Mr Omatshola Iseli, aka Tee Mac has revealed to everyone that cares to know that he once suffered Bell’s Palsy in 2022.

Tee Mac’s disclosure came after Nollywood actor, Chidi Mokeme disclosed recently that he had Bell’s Palsy, which was responsible for his absence in movies.

Tee Mac, the veteran flutist, said; “I had Bell’s Palsy November 2022 and it took me six weeks with steroids treatments and therapy to get my face back to normal. I could not play the flute for six weeks. I was very worried. Nobody know what causes it, I had a bad flue and one morning I woke up with my face dropping.”

“Very scary. When one goes immediately for treatment it can be reversed.”

For those who do not know, Bell’s Palsy also known as Idiopathic Facial Paralysis is a condition that causes sudden weakness in the muscles on one side of the face. In most cases, the weakness is temporary and significantly improves over weeks. The weakness makes half of the face appear to droop. Smiles are one-sided, and the eye on the affected side cannot close.
