Movement For the Actualization Of The Sovereign State Of Biafra (MASSOB), has disassociate itself from the recent meeting held in Aba by a group of pro-Biafra agitators.
In a press statement issued in Enugu MASSOB said it was not part and will never be part of such meeting, which it described as a gathering of faceless groups hiding under Biafra to enrich themselves. MASSOB National Director of Information Comrade Samuel Edeson who signed the statement said, “as one of the leading groups in Biafra project we know the real Biafra agitators and their leaders.
“We have an umbrella that unites us called Coalition of pro-Biafra Agitators with the name known as Biafra National Council BNC. This is the only body that units all the genuine pro Biafra groups.
“MASSOB wishes to make it clear that we the members of MASSOB did not participate in such a meeting where Ndubuisi Igwekala, Agu Biafra was appointed as their leader. We were also not part of the ultimatum well given to unknown gunmen.
“MASSOB believes in non-violence approach and through consultation, negotiation we can restore peace in Igbo land.”
