A concerned resident of Enugu State, Mr Above Clinton, has uploaded videos showing the sorry state of Nsukka General Hospital, in Nsukka Local Government Area of Enugu State.
The videos, which are generating reactions on social media, show the pitiable physical condition of the hospital. Tattered beds, dilapidated roofs, among other deteriorating structures, could be seen in both videos.
Voices of patients and their relatives could be heard in the videos posted on the Facebook page on Wednesday. The post accompanied the videos with this write-up:
So yesterday I got a call that my little cousin was rushed to Nsukka General Hospital for emergency surgery. I had to rush down there to know how he’s doing. “Behold, this was what my eyes saw. I am posting this here because it really needs urgent attention, and the agency responsible for this project should, as a matter of urgency, attend to it.
“This place is functional, and patients are being treated here, as you can see in the videos.
This is Nsukka General Hospital along Enugu Road, close to Queens Secondary School and behind Okunerere Adoration Ministry.
