The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has broken his silence on the alleged genocidal killing of Christians in Nigeria.

NewsBits reports that many Christian leaders have been facing backlash for remaining quiet amid the raging controversy in the country. Adeboye has now finally expressed his view on the US President Donald Trump’s planned military action against Nigeria.

He specifically urged President Bola Tinubu’s administration to move fast, diplomatically, and wisely on the matter. In a video recorded during one of the recent programs of the church, he said: “My children, if I were asked to make suggestions, I would say quietly to our government, move fast, move diplomatically, move wisely.

“Find a way to convince the president of America to please delay his actions for about 100 days. And then come home and say to our security chiefs: get rid of these terrorists within 90 days, or resign.”

Adeboye also told President Tinubu to relay the order to the security chiefs and “make it clear to them that they are not only to eliminate the terrorists, but they should also eliminate their sponsors, no matter how influential”.

He added, “We must take note of the fact that if the US should attack us, China is not coming to defend us, and Russia won’t defend us.
