Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, is reportedly battling stage 4 cancer, with his daughter, Kira Taiwo, appealing for medical advice and possible treatment options.
The development came to light after Kira made an emotional appeal on social media, seeking information and assistance that could help her father in his battle with the illness. According to Kira, doctors treating the actor have said they can no longer administer chemotherapy due to his condition.
With chemotherapy reportedly no longer an option, the family is urgently seeking alternative medical treatments that could help improve his condition. Kira said the family is open to exploring other options, including specialised medical procedures and traditional treatments, as they continue to search for a possible way to help the veteran actor recover.
In her appeal, she clarified that the family was not seeking financial donations but medical information that could lead them to someone who may be able to treat her father.
“Please, we are begging you. If you know who can treat him. The hospital is saying that they can’t give him chemo. Please, we are not begging for money,” she wrote.
