The MainPower Electricity Distribution Limited (MEDL) has appealed to its customers across Enugu State who are yet to settle their September electricity bills, which are for energy consumed in August, to do so to avoid disconnection during the public holiday.
A press release issued on Tuesday by the management of the company indicated that the exercise comes as part of “its revenue drive.” MainPower’s field teams will be carrying out disconnection exercises on customers who are yet to pay their electricity bills. Customers whose electricity supply is disconnected for non-payment will be required to pay the applicable reconnection fee before supply can be restored.
The press release also stated that while MainPower continues to work towards providing improved and reliable electricity services to its customers, “it urges all customers to promptly pay their electricity bills.”
Referencing the press release, the management explained that “Customers can make payments at any MainPower Cash Office or through authorised Collection Agents” and various electronic payment platforms, including bank apps, Quickteller, E-Transact, BuyPower, etc.
“MainPower appreciates the cooperation of its customers and solicits their support in making prompt payment of their electricity bills to avoid service disruption,” the management said.
