The death has been announced of Colonel Barrister Patrick Anwunah, one of the top officers of the defunct Biafran Army. He was 87 years old.
A release from the Anwunah family, signed by the eldest, Mr. Chike Anwunah and made available to the media in Enugu on Tuesday, stated that the late top Biafran Army officer passed on at the University of Nigeria, Teaching Hospital, (UNTH), Enugu, in Enugu State.
Part of the brief release reads: “The family of Col Barr. Sir Patrick Anwunah with sadness would like to announce the passing of Col. Patrick Anwunah. He died at UNTH Enugu on Friday September 16, 2022.
” During his career he was the General Staff Officer 1 Nigerian Army, Quarter Master General and Chief of Logistics Biafran Army and a Pioneer Nigerian Officer. He was 87 years.
